Three questions we ask before you buy
Who is playing, and where?
A nine-year-old in an apartment needs a different guitar and amp than a teenager joining the school jazz band. We start with the player and the room, not the brand.
What will it sound like in a year?
Cheap gear is fine when it is set up well. We will tell you which parts matter now, and which upgrades can wait until the player is ready.
How easy is it to keep in tune?
Tuners, string gauge and hardware make a bigger difference to practice than the price tag. We walk you through care before you leave.
